Nov 29, 2005 - Dr. Newman - chemo update
Nov 8, 2005 - MRI scheduled & immediately after appointment with Dr. Rosseau to discuss MRI results -
NO CHANGE! - YIPEE!
Oct 25, 2005 - appt with Dr. Newman to check blood levels and discuss beginning 15th round of
chemotherapy - 300mg TEMODAR ® tablets/pills per day for five days
Sept 9, 2005 - from Anna - "An update on my Speech Therapy: They are helping so much - I am amazed,
and thankful for the opportunity! I'll be stopping occupational therapy next Tuesday because they feel I can
practice that at home and will get much more benefit from the speech therapy and want to use the insurance
limits on that. Marianjoy is an incredible place!"
Sept 2005 - Going to Occupational Therapy (for balance, eyesight etc) and Speech Therapy (for memory,
concentration etc) at Marionjoy in Oakbrook Terrace. Going almost daily (M-F) thru the end of September.
When Anna was asked what she wanted to get out of the Occupational Therapy - she said "I want to drive!".
It might be possible - but she's not holding her breath.
Sept 6, 2005 - appt with Dr. Newman to check blood levels and discuss beginning 14th round of
chemotherapy - 300mg TEMODAR ® tablets/pills per day for five days
Aug 30, 2005 - MRI scheduled & immediately after appointment with Dr. Rosseau to discuss MRI results
Aug 24, 2005 - Family support group outing to Wellness House
July 25, 2005 - begin 13th round of chemotherapy - 300mg TEMODAR ® tablets/pills per day for five days
July 19, 2005 - Dr Newman - discuss whether to treat the necrosis - no reason to treat with steroid unless it is
causing issues.
July 13, 2005 - PET scan results - DRUM ROLL --------- it is 'NECROSIS' - NOT TUMOR
RECURRANCE/GROWTH - time to do the HAPPY DANCE!
July 6, 2005 - PET SCAN test taken to further review / assess what looks to be tumor re-growth; won't get
results until Wednesday July 13th (every minute of waiting for results is like an eternity)
Late June - DEVASTATING NEWS - MRI shows that thearea vacated by the original tumor is filling in.........
(with what?) There is only a couple of ways to determine the answer to this question.
1 - Surgery and send the removed tissue for biopy
2 - PET scan
Luckily Dr. Rosseau ordered the PET scan - time will tell what the physical makeup of the area is
May 9, 2005 - 7 weeks after surgery - back to work full time & begin 11th round of chemotherapy - 300mg
TEMODAR ® tablets/pills per day for five days
May 4, 2005 - Dr Newman - discuss chemotherapy treatment plan
April 26, 2005 - (5 weeks since surgery) - MRI & visit with Dr Rosseau
April 6, 2005 - Dr Newman - wants to wait until receives pathology report from March 21 surgery prior to
resuming any chemotherapy treatments
March 30, 2005 - Staples Removed (CINN-downtown)
March 24, 2005 - 1pm Anna arrived home - SHE'S on the road to recovery - WAY TO GO GIRL!
March 23, 2005 - 8:00am Anna just called - she's coming home tomorrow!
March 22, 2005 - Anna has been up & out of bed today
All IV's have been removed
She is already on solid food
March 21 - 2:15pm - Anna came thru surgery with flying colors!
She is expected to be in the hospital until Friday March 25th
Should receive pathology on the tumor removed by Wednesday March 23
March 21, 2005 - Craniotomy surgery to remove brain tumor scheduled.............check back for post-op
update
March 10, 2005 - New MRI taken at CINN; Dr. Rosseau is paged and consults with Anna same day.
Surgery (craniotomy) is scheduled for Monday March 21. This will be Anna's 2nd surgery of this type.
Anna's mom asks the neurosurgeon if she can put a "hinge" on her incisions into the skull this time. Anna's
previous surgery (identical to this) was 15 months previous (December 10, 2003).
March 9, 2005 - Appointment with neurosurgeon Dr. Rosseau to review the MRI reading/report from the
February 28 MRI brings up the news that the tumor has grown back. A new (more clear) MRI is required to
determine tumor location, size and next steps. MRI scheduled for next afternoon.
March 7, 2005 - Anna receives reading/report from CDH for the MRI taken Feb 28 & faxes it to her 3 doctors
(Neurosurgeon, Chemo, Primary)
Feb 28, 2005 - MRI at CDH (Central DuPage Hospital) - These are done at CDH vs. CINN due to facility
location convenience and insurance coverage.
Feb 22, 2005 - Dr Newman (Chemo); begin 11th round of chemotherapy - 300mg TEMODAR ® tablets/pills
per day for five days
Feb 17, 2005 - Dr Benton (Psychiatrist) - Yes, it's really important that people see these Dr's when they're
going thru things like cancer and depression
Jan 16, 2005 - Tenth round of chemotherapy - 300mg TEMODAR ® tablets/pills per day for five days

Anna Taylor 45-year-old; wife of Scott Taylor; mother of Danielle 22 and Jenn 18; step-mom of Ashley 1
9, Alicia 16 and Tommy 11, is in the midst of the FIGHT for her life. She has been diagnosed with an
extremely uncommon form of Brain Cancer named Gliosarcoma.
We (3 of her friends) struggled with how to help. This website is intended to keep all of Anna's family,
friends and loved ones of others fighting the same cancer, informed as she moves through her FIGHT.
